Wolff & the Waterfalls

Downtown tonight.....to the South Street Seaport with its hordes of tourists, screaming black Jews for Jesus (I think that's what they were for), very loud rock and roll, and plenty of commerce I went with my son to take a boat tour of Olafur Eliasson's Waterfalls:

I can't imagine what it must be like to live in NYC. I've visited there, of course. But it must be something to be there every day. My mom was born there...in Manhattan.

I wonder...who commissioned the waterfalls?

They were commissioned by the Public Art Fund.
A friend of mine thinks of Manhattan as Atlantis. It certainly has many magical attributes and the waterfalls accentuate those.
