Buddha's view

Above is what my Buddha sees from his perch...Gods dance and snow bears tunnel to jeweled cities. Also rocking chairs await...
Meanwhile down in the dark studio the forest accumulates layers as I paint and repaint the reflections, hoping for a pure exhalation of light, water and green:

So far, it looks like a hemlock grove, not unlike some of the Appalachian groves in which I've rested.

When I was a kid, we had a Buddha that my parents kept on the mantle. It was carved from some type of fragrant wood. My dad would rub its belly every day for good luck.
